ⓘ What do these signals mean?— read before you act
Every card is a mechanical read of one rule — price versus its 30-period exponential moving average (EMA30) on the timeframe you pick. There is no human view and no prediction here; it just states what the trend rule currently says.
- LONG — price is above EMA30 (the rule reads the trend as up).
- SHORT — price is below EMA30 (the rule reads the trend as down).
- EMA30 — the moving-average line itself; the level the rule compares price against.
- Dist — how far price sits from EMA30, as a %. Large distances often mean the move is extended.
- Held — how many bars the current LONG/SHORT state has lasted. A fresh flip (low number) is less confirmed than a long-running one.
- Market Trend / Breadth — the share of tracked pairs currently LONG vs SHORT — a quick gauge of whether the whole market is risk-on or risk-off.
Information only — not financial advice, not a buy/sell recommendation, and no guarantee of future results. A trend rule whipsaws in choppy markets and only one daily variant (EMA30) is backtest-validated. Always do your own research and manage your own risk.
AI Analysis
Trading Bots
Paper bots run on Ascent's servers 24/7 — once you start one it keeps paper-trading even when you're offline (and auto-resumes after maintenance), until you stop it. Live bots are different: they trade on your own connected exchange, using keys sent from your browser, and only while your tab is open. Start in paper to test risk-free, then switch to live when you're ready.
Portfolio P&L
Your equity across every connected broker, open-position unrealized P&L, and realized P&L from your bots — read-only, non-custodial (your keys are never stored at rest).
Stocks, forex, indices & metals are for analysis — charts, indicators and AI reads. Trading these isn't available in Ascent (crypto only). Market data may be delayed.
Strategy Lab
Backtests run entirely in your browser, on your settings — your machine does the work, not our servers. Hypothetical results never guarantee future returns.
